Markets and music. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter, right? But with alliteration. Then there's the old trope: "Bulls make money. Bears make money. Pigs get slaughtered." This bloggy beast is my forum to post investment ideas to avoid the stock market from becoming a slaughterhouse. And to impose my meandering musical preferences on unsuspecting readers. Step up to the trough and enjoy the slop.

Seven Ate Nine
With the Dow blowing through the 9K and 8K barriers over the last two days, BNL's "789" comes to mind.
As I write this, the VIX just cracked 72.
Yesterday, two S&P 500 components were trading above their 50-day moving averages. Seven S&P 500 components were trading above their 200-day moving averages. Zero Dow components were trading above their 50-DMA or 200-DMA. Zero NASDAQ-100 components were trading above their 50DMA, and only two were trading above their 200DMA.
I can't think of a better time to take a break, head over to Ireland, and regroup.
