Teenage Fanclub

Back in '91 when Spin Magazine rated Bandwagonesque the album-of-the-year, ahead of Nirvana's Nevermind and Pearl Jam's Ten, I thought Teenage Fanclub's straightforward power pop was a bit too straight.

I was wrong.

Here's a recent version of "Star Sign" from Bandwagonesque, but with 100% more banjo:
